The Sound of Silence: In Her Interview with Katie Couric, Sarah Palin Didn’t Know of a Single Supreme Court Case Apart from Roe v. Wade! She Simply Fell Silent When Asked!

This is outrageous.

CBS is not releasing part of the interview that Sarah Palin did with Katie Couric.

Why?

Because it would be embarrassing to her!

From Politico today:

Of concern to McCain’s campaign, however, is a remaining and still-undisclosed clip from Palin’s interview with Couric last week that has the political world buzzing.

The Palin aide, after first noting how “infuriating” it was for CBS to purportedly leak word about the gaffe, revealed that it came in response to a question about Supreme Court decisions.

After noting Roe vs. Wade, Palin was apparently unable to discuss any major court cases.

There was no verbal fumbling with this particular question as there was with some others, the aide said, but rather silence.

That silence needs to be seen and absorbed by the electorate. Media outlets should not be aiding the McCain campaign in shielding Palin from scrutiny.

Silence.

Think about what that means.

It appears the RNC wants the media and most US citizens to “dummy-down” when it comes to Palin. The double standard is glaring. One of AK’s own motto’s is “Coldest State, Hottest Governor”…how come no one thinks this is sexist?

Since when is it off limits to ask a candidate running for public office questions…there has been nothing ‘off limits’ for any other candidate. Out of Palin own mouth (regarding Senator Clinton) she should answer questions she’d been asked if she’s running for public office. But…Oh how quickly Palin for got this.

It’s also bothersome to think that this “Maverick” (Mc Cain) allowed his party to “pull his chain” when it came to the selection of a VP Candidate…as Palin was NOT his first choice. Especailly when you take into consideration her administration is under investigation.

Palin’s interview with Katie Couric was funnier than the SNL skits…as they were TRUE! Yet, later, I felt a bit sorry for her as she looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

Take into consideration her “vetting” process (or lack thereof)…as compared to someone working for the US Dept of Energy. I did a post on this…titled…An Interesting “Vetting” Comparison. It outlines the “vetting” my hubby went through to secure a postion within the US Dept of Energy as compared to Palin as a VP Candidate. (Take a look!)

Yeah well… that silence that you hear is the sound of millions of small town Americans looking at you and summoning the will of God to smite all hippies.

You know… you can keep laughing, but Sarah Palin keeps roping in the endorsements. The latest ones come from Chuck and Sally Heath. See, what you seem to fail to understand is that Sarah Palin is a human interest story. After watching all the conflict and crisis in America today, sometimes you gotta just kick back and take in some empty calories. And you know what? Sarah Palin delivers.

So to all those naysayers and doomsayers and critics out there that can do what they want because it’s a free country, Sarah Palin is just going to be Sarah Palin and take on her next challenge:

Are you serious? Why in the world would God, if he existed, want to smite hippies? If anything, they’re out their doing God’s good work by helping those less fortunate. In the meantime people like you are wishing ill on your fellow man.

You are right, though. Sarah Palin is a human interest story. You know what else is a human interest story? A dude who can eat 40 hot dogs in 10 minutes. If you set the bar for 2nd in command of the most powerful country in the world at “human interest story” then may God, if he exists, help you.

Of course people like yourself would love Palin. She makes even someone like yourself look smart.

One of her obvious challenges was when Katie Couric asked her which books or magazines she’s read (as she indicated in a previous interview that she’s developed a world view by reading)….however, when asked…she could not name a single ONE!

Let’s not forget her foreign policy experience due to Alaska’s close proximity to Russia. This logic would indicate she also has experience with Santa Claus since Alaska is close to the North Pole.

Yet, she really has been to Moscow. Oops! That was Moscow, Idaho…where she graduated from college (after attending several colleges she finally graduated from here with a degree in…journalism)

B4Real…your example of a “human interest story” was hysterical. I thought of a few myself…but yours was better 🙂
