I Made a Homemade “Obama 08” Sign, and Somebody Stole It. Now I’ve Painted “Obama 08” in My Frontyard Tree. They Can’t Steal My Tree, Can They?

Below is my first sign, which I put up this weekend, and was stolen a few days later. Notice the tree behind the sign, and its smooth bark. That’s where I put my second sign, this morning, after somebody violated my right to free speech.

And below is an image of my “Tree for Obama.”

This is my pushback against someone’s intolerance for free expression.

Whether one is liberal or conservative, I think we can all agree that we have to stand together against those who would treat others in intolerant ways, and physically interfere with forms of free expression (such as putting up a lawn sign during a campaign season).

I found this link while looking for ideas to make a homemade Obama sign. We LOVE your tree idea and will be painting ours too! Great idea!! They can’t steal that one.

wow, that’s really encouraging to hear that you’ll probably do the same.

if you have the chance, perhaps you could come back to this site and offer a link to a photo.

i’d love to capture the photo, and add it to this blog.

You are wrong. A lot has been achieved in the first year. Obama’s doing great.
