Gross McCarthyism: In the Final Weekend Before the Election, McCain-Palin Desperately Try to Tag Anti-Semitism on Obama

It is hard to imagine, after the Holocaust, a grosser McCarthy-like slander, than to call someone an anti-semite who is clearly not—or insinuate that a person is associated with, and is sympathetic with the causes of, anti-semites.

Obviously, Barack Obama is no anti-semite.

He’s a pro-Israel senator who picked a pro-Israel running mate (Joe Biden).

But the fact that a McCain-Palin surrogate can go on national television and make such an insinuation suggests that McCain and Palin have (if it was not already evident) simply lost their moral compass.

It also suggests that their internal polls show them to be on the verge of losing Florida and this is their last (desperate) attempt to scare Jewish voters in the state away from Obama.

It’s not going to work—and it’s pathetic.

McCain-Palin richly deserve to lose this election—and to lose it decisively:
