Is it just me, or does it seem too quiet in the run-up to this election?
In other words, is it really likely that George Bush isn’t going pull some shit in the final 72 hours of this thing—somehow turning the election’s main focus off the economy (Obama’s strength) and onto foreign policy (McCain’s strength)?
Bush has always been a gambler—and a nihilist.
He might well say (for example): “Let’s do something overseas, and see what happens.”
The next 72 hours are going to be a nail-biter.
