With Only About 72 Hours to Election Day, All Three Gallup Polling Methods Show Obama with a SOLID 8-11 Point Lead!

No matter how Gallup slices it (by traditional estimates, by expanded estimates, and by registered voter estimates) Obama holds at least an 8 point lead with just a couple of days to go.

Polls are conducted by liberal media.

We reject obama. There are many who want to leave the country if he gets in….I am one of them. He is a total fraud.

Polling is a scientific method for deriving public opinion.

To maintain credibility, a polling organization cannot develop a reputation for deliberately skewing its results.

Do you also reject other forms of science as skewed by liberal prejudice (such as, say, biology and paleontology because they teach that the earth is old and that plants and animals change over time)?

  3. Marianne says:

Calling polling a scientific method is a little foolish. The questions can be slanted as well as the base of people who answer the questions.

    no liberal organization has credibility.

I do not reject science. I am a biochemist. Forget your interpretation of science, and leave it to the professionals.

Polling is a demographic science based upon statistical measurement.

If polling was not a science, you could draw no reasonable inferences from the data that it collects.

But obviously polling companies can—and do.

Professional polling is the systematic collection of data—accompanied by inductive pattern seeking.

I’m surprised that you don’t see Baconian methods on display in the science of polling.

And just to be clear: a polling organization that pushes a poll by slanting the question, or not using the same question across polls, or by not choosing a genuinely random sample of voters, would very quickly lose the coin of its realm: credibility.

Statistics lies in the realm of science. You can arrive at a high degree of certainty about a population by sampling it with objective measures.

By the way (and I know that this is off topic): as a biochemist do you accept the theory of evolution? In other words, is the earth old, and have animals and plants changed over time by a process of natural selection?
