Notice, in this photo, just how much white reflective surface space has turned to dark sun-radiation aborbative surface space. Global warming, once set in motion, can have a cumulative and accelerating effect. It’s why scientists are urging that roofs throughout the world be painted white, to reflect solar radiation from being absorbed by the land. The Arctic image above suggests that, each year that the bright white ice sheets retreat, we have a lot of radiation reflective catching up to do.
