Have you noticed the curious “Obama as scary clown” image meme circulating among right wing circles? I’m having a hard time getting my head around its connotations for right wingers (a racist minstrel projection comes to mind).
In any case, it’s part of the right’s weird demonological projection onto the President. I continue to believe that President Obama is in enormous danger of assassination from an unbalanced person. Conservatives are ridiculously hysterical over him, and you can get a steady diet of alarm over Obama by just watching and listening to right wing Internet and media outlets. Below is the latest manifestation of the Obama “sinister clown meme.” I noticed this disturbing image posted at Drudge this afternoon (around 3 pm Pacific time). And the poster image is turning up around Los Angeles (beneath overpasses etc.):
It strikes me as a very image of death and vampirism—a black man implicitly after your life blood and women. And it gives the impression of being a “Wanted” poster—as if Obama is a monster stalking the community. Vigilantes can be relied on to take note. The image will no doubt be all over the right wing blogosphere (and praised) for quite awhile, adding fuel to right wing Manichean projections.
I also notice Rush Limbaugh, racist that he is, at his website embracing the image as well. Hardly surprising.

remember george bush and the joke face put on him a few years ago? or how about the “worse than hitler”? the left can organize anti war rallies, union protests, civil rights marches, but no, no, no, no one is allowed to protest their lofty plans to power up seiu and acorn to fix all future elections and drive america into trillions of debt.
remember florida 2000? “selected not elected” so where is the birth cert? not that phoney one that even illegals can get easily. real proof. and open up all those college records…do you think obama/soetoro got a break by claiming he was not a u.s. citizen?
Raz you are so right, here in LA “Fuck Bush” bumper stickers are common. “Somewhere in Texas a village is missing an idiot” as well. If you disagree with the radical left your a racist. Radical Liberals need to look into the mirror.

Santi, don’t be an idiot. IF anything happens to Obama the Right is not to blame, only the person who does the act. You think the Right should just forget what we heard and listened to for eight years. The people are speaking and this Socialist President’s colors are showing bright.

As for Obama being not to blame, I think his lack of action and listening to the American people, he is to blame for a lot.
He’s become obsessed with his goals, even though the people are saying “You’re goals are good, but this needs to be a little different.”
