      I didn’t look at the comments after first seeing the video, but I suppose it illustrates the hazards of being an academic who pursues areas of interest that are not, at some level, politically correct.

      What I think is important here is her observation that Rand was instrumental in the evolution of libertarianism in the United States (even as Rand personally disdained it out of her own peculiar energies for absolute purity).

      Libertarianism is, for good and ill, ultimately an ideology that reached maturity in America—another thing we now export (like Hollywood movies).
