The Atlas Shrugged Ticket: Is America Beautiful without Medicare?

A pretty darn effective ad. Leave no granny behind. Clear and to the point. What was Mitt Romney thinking putting Paul Ryan on the ticket?

Holy shit. Did you really just post that crap here? You’ve gone off the deep end Santi, and for my own sanity I can’t be bothered to read this blog any more until after the election.

I understand. But the ad effectively visualizes exactly what will happen to granny if you turn Medicare into a voucher system and then turn the saved money over to the richest Americans in tax cuts. As health care inflation slowly but surely diminishes the value of the voucher, the gap must be made up somewhere. But if granny has no money to make up the difference between her insurance premium and the voucher, what happens to granny? Obviously, she goes without insurance.

If you can tell me an alternative scenario, please share.

      What happens to granny?
