Virginia Man Hangs Obama from a Tree Limb in Effigy, But Don’t Call It a Symbolic Lynching

This is at the Washington Times today:

A Centreville man who hung an empty chair from a tree in his backyard with a sign reading “Nobama” attached to it denies that it was meant to represent any inference to lynching or had any racist connotations, though he did manage to “get on the radar” of the Secret Service.

Doug Burger said he was “Eastwooding,” according to local Washington news outlet WJLA.

Imagine the sickness in this man’s heart. When he woke to his morning pot of coffee, he looked out his kitchen window and saw a symbol of the nation’s first black President dangling from a tree, and this gave him pleasure.

Better what this little boy says to President Obama. “Out of the mouth of babes.” Learn to love.

  1. Excellent read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!
