A same-sex bi-national couple is a homosexual American married to a homosexual foreigner, and President Obama means for such a couple to be included in immigration reform. In the below clip, John McCain is clearly broadsided by a question about it and calls gay immigration equality something not of “paramount importance.”
In other words, gay couples are expected, once again, to go to the back of the bus. They are an inconvenient annoyance, an afterthought.
But I’m with Obama. Same sex bi-national couples need to be part of immigration reform. Agree?
