The Ghost Army Trailer

This documentary, soon to be aired on PBS, looks really good. 1000 people–some of whom would go on to have careers in art, fashion, and design–were commissioned to do a head-fake on the Nazis late in World War II, simulating war and spreading rumors about it, making them think the American army was formidable, victorious, and active in places where it actually wasn’t. The mission probably saved thousands of lives.
