Some amusing and idiotic hand-wringing from an all-male panel over the fact that 4 in ten households in the United States now have a woman as the primary breadwinner. Here’s the reality: urbanization and higher education (and therefore higher incomes) are accompanied by feminism, and sexist men resent this. That’s what this exchange is really about. Capitalism and feminism feed one another and conservatives have cognitive dissonance about this (as do a lot of liberals). Meanwhile, both phenomena steadily advance to the overall benefit of most human beings.
